Location: the hotel was next to Mainz train station, the city center and local tram line. Also, Mainzer Volkspark was 2 miles away from the property. There was plenty of good meals...

I recently stayed at a hotel that was excellent, especially for the price. The staff was super friendly and I had a smooth check-in even though I arrived late. The hotel had a great system in place to retrieve the room key. The continental breakfast was standard but everything was fresh and the coffee was great. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The location was a bit far from the action, so a cab or car was needed, but it was well connected to the city center through public transport. I had a nice stay and I would recommend this hotel for its value and cleanliness.

The internet connection was quite poor, which was a downside for staying connected during our New Year's break. the smell of smoke in the corridors and outside was a minor issue, as we prefer non-smoking areas.

I had a great stay at Hotel Garni Am Hechenberg. The room was simple but comfortable, with a cozy bed, a nice work desk, and a TV. I was pleased to find a good internet connection as well. The blinds in the window were able to close fully, allowing me to sleep in complete darkness, which I really appreciated. The bathroom was spacious and well-equipped, with no issues with hot water. The late check-in process was smooth, thanks to the code for the key. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing me with a map and tram timetable to navigate the city. They even had a selection of cold beers for sale at the reception, which was a nice touch.

We appreciated the fully equipped and spacious bathroom, with no issues getting hot water. Having a kettle and tea/coffee available was a nice touch. The hotel also accommodated our late check-in with a code for the key, which was very convenient. we were very satisfied with the service and facilities.

The location of the hotel is a bit far from the city center, necessitating a taxi or car to get around. Additionally, the bathroom could use a quick cleaning to address some grout mold.
